Which AI provider should you plug into Diavi, and with which key?
Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Mammouth or Ollama: which key each one needs, where to set it, and what Diavi counts as cost.
Diavi calls the models with your key: it is your bill with the provider, never ours. You choose the provider in Preferences → AI Provider, then each agent's model in Preferences → Pipeline.
Which providers are offered?
- Anthropic — the Claude models, with an Anthropic key.
- OpenAI — the GPT models, with an OpenAI key.
- Gemini — Google's Gemini models, with a Google AI Studio key.
- Mammouth — one subscription that reaches GPT, Claude, Gemini, Mistral and others, with a Mammouth key.
- Ollama — models running on your own server, no key required.
How do you plug in Gemini?
Create an API key in Google AI Studio, then paste it into Preferences → AI Provider: each agent already has a Gemini model, so you can launch straight away. To change one, Preferences → Pipeline offers the models read from Google with your key. Diavi only ever sends it to Google's address.
How do you plug in Mammouth?
Create an API key in your Mammouth account, paste it into Preferences → AI Provider, then pick a model for each agent in Preferences → Pipeline: the list is read from Mammouth with your key. It is a Mammouth key, not an OpenAI key, even though Mammouth's API follows OpenAI's format. Diavi only ever sends it to Mammouth's address.
As long as an agent has no model chosen, launching is refused and names that agent: better to know before the run than halfway through.
How does Diavi count what a run costs?
With each model's public price — for Gemini, Google's. A model whose price Diavi does not know yet is counted at the highest known price. Mammouth publishes no per-token price, so a model named like an Anthropic, OpenAI or Gemini model is counted at that price, and any other at the highest known price: a high estimate, never zero, so a monthly budget stays a real ceiling. The real amount is the one on your Mammouth bill.
